We have used my 79 Dback in our Womens Intro classes in the past and it does better than do the K frames- shorter trigger reach. Perhaps Batman as well. I found that rather than splitting the dot, I needed to cover it; otherwise, I tended to land a little low. Since the department required we carry a S&W or Colt revoler. If you look at the cost to produce a hand fitted finished American made shotgun your upwards of 3 to 4K. Good Lord guys, Colt does the unthinkable and comes out with a revolver and all you hear is complaints. THE GOOD: Easy to shoot and completely reliable. What the market really needs is a good hunk of American steel. Aside from that, very satisfied with the weight balance, look, feel, functionality and fit. At least the current vapor blasted finish (or whatever theyre using) doesnt look nearly as rough as the Parkerized Agent and Commando Special guns of the 1980s strike-era when the few craftsmen capable of creating that Royal Blue finish were not available in enough numbers to handle the lower profit margin D-Frame revolvers (Python and Gold Cup models took priority). I own a 3in S&W 686+ which holds 7 rnds of 357mag/38spcl, so I dont think thats a new design from Smith.
